So here's the very 1st compilation/sampler/???? we ever put out, featuring bands from Tulsa/North Texas that we were affiliated with at the time (mostly friends and friends of friends). I think it's especially important that we document this particular compilation, mainly because we put a lot of effort into this thing: we had these cool buttons made with our icon printed on them, then we printed and cut out little one-sheets and folded them delicately to house our self-duplicated CD-Rs. To finish the ensemble we then measured and cut 50+ strips of cloth (two-ply) to wrap around the CD-Rs/one-sheets, all pinned together by dollar store paper clips. We did this on the eve of Free Tulsa 2012 and passed them out amongst friends at the festival itself, for 0 dollars and 0 cents (USD). 100% labor of love / 0% profit. Totally not worth it, but it was a good work ethic and a great foundation that our little record label is built on. We'll be returning to this style of packaging soon, in the near-future, hopefully...
